i like it when customers come in and ask how "many watts a sub puts out", i usally reply with "how many watts you want it to put out"

"Well, it's one amp. Actually, technically, two amps, a left and a right in one chassis"

"huh?"

"Exactly"

YEAH, well MY buddy's got two subs that put out 5,000 watts and it does 196 dB!!!! Your car's nothin' man!

Actually... my subs don't have the power ratings on their web site.

So now what??!?!? *confused*

And the last thing I would want to do is underpower them. That would surely cause them to blow! (or so I've heard) [img]graemlins/jack.gif[/img]

my buddy's got 15 18" subs in his hatchback, and he does 860 dB, he even goes into competitions

How is it "so" off topic? Instead of a "question" that one hates, it is a "statement" one hates (and in fact I HAVE had the statement presented to me)

It is no more off topic than your own statement which indeed is not any sort of annoying question but a separate comment about sub power.

See, now THIS post is what would derail this thread.
