Hey, whats up everyone. I have a quick question as I dont know a whole lot about car audio and dont want to buy crap. There is a MTX T61544A Thunder 6000 15" Subwoofer Series Sub with 600watt peak power, 4 ohms, 15" dual voice coil at a local store for 75 bucks down from 200. If these are half *** I owuldnt mind picking one or 2 up so I was jsut wondering if anyone could help me with my delema. Also could someone point me towards a good amp from the futureshop website as I dont know how much wattage or whatever I would need to power these subs. I want them to bang but also dont want to spend to much. I was looking at 12" MTX subs at Futureshop that wer 200 bucks each and they were being powered by a little 350 dollar amp but cannot remember which one. ANyhelp would be greatly appreciated and thanx in advance.

I think this is the amp and subs that I was looking at. Amp Subs

For $75 I would say pick up one of the 6000 series (or two) if you're on a budget.

The amp you have selected for them would suit them perfectly.

With that kind of power you're not going to shake your eyeballs but they will get relatively loud and with a good box they should sound quite well.

No. You have single 4ohm subs and that amp is not stable to 2ohm mono and not really enough power at 4ohm stereo.

The subs are rated at 300rms max so I would look into a JBL BP600 for them. It's a decent performer that has good power and can be had for a good price.
