RDS Missing in new Head units?
Hello all,
Just wondering why the RDS http://www.rds.org.uk/rds98/rds98.htm(Radio Data System) feature was no longer being included in some head units that are being built.
User demand? Support or the XM and Sirius Satellite radio networks supercedes RDS?
I like the traffic and emergency broadcasts (limited in Toronto) as well as the ability to automatically see the radio channel id and song titles etc. being played on the radio for stations boadcasting that kind of info.
I am looking into getting a new head unit and no longer see the RDS as a selling/supported feature in the newer units.
Thoughts?
