man i have had it with salesmen comming to the install bay and taking my tools out to customers car and not telling, me i look for the tool everywere for 10minutes and in walks mr. salesmen "oh hey i didnt see you so i just grabbed your fluke multimeter. hope you dont mind" Damn right i mind, dont touch my frickin tools. so i grabbed a alarm mounted it to the back of my box with a siren eleswere, hooked up a shock senser and sensers on the drawers, and placed a red led in the peak of the mastercraft chrome logo. now when i leave the bay to use the lavratory or go talk to a customer i arm my box. well holy cow does it work great!!! missing tools this month 0 salesmen caught with hands in cookie jar 3. .

LMAO...
A screwdriver would be one thing... a cheapo DMM from canadian tire would be one thing as well....
Anyone touches my Fluke without asking ESPECIALLY when they are just handing it out to someone else... err... Id be tempted to probe his head...
Nice job with the alarm...

im the same way. you don't touch my stereo and you die. every time i get out of the car i have to re adjust my stereo settings because one of my friends is being stupid. heck i don't even let my friends drive my car, i just don't trust them. and then as for my tools it don't really matter cause i know they will put them back(i'm a apprenticing mechanic just to note).

HaHaHaHa I'm a salesman and at least I have the decency to ask my installer if I can take them because I need them for my build, but I have another co-worker who does it for sat installs and I'm gonna mention this post to him. Good call though

Hee hee, great job!
Now can't you just picture it: as you are walking back from the john you catch a salesguy doing his impression of Indiana Jones, with a bag of sand in one hand and the other one hovering over a screwdriver on the top of the box...

you know i dont mind if you ask to borrow a tool. at least i know where it is.what i dont want is to loose time because i think that i left a tool in a customers car or misplaced it. i have two sets of wrenches one expensive and one generic, i will always lend you the generic. three different priced multimeters,50 cnd tire, 150.00 radio shack and 700.00 fluke, again i have no problem lending out the first two, and a complete set of screwdrivers, from save on foods, that i have no problems lending out if asked. but please, salesmen all i-we ask is to ask us first.
