I think that with time alignment and careful adjustment, rear speakers add to the overall sound in my car in a positive way.

Doesn't it depend on where your driving seat is positioned? I'm 6'3" tall and the drivers seat in my Golf is practically in the the back seat to accomodate my height. I tried using only the front speakers in my setup once. When I switched back to the using both the rear and front speakers I found I had a much fuller sound.

Maybe it depends on where you're sitting?

My rears are on the back shelf, and when I fade slightly back it raises the soundstage.

Sounds good to me...and sorry everyone, but that is what matters in mycar.

Without rear fill though, some songs you get have some music that cycles around the speakers kinda like surround sound as part of the music you would loose that without rear fill? So it might sound real nice in the other car that has all 4 speakers then you get in your car that has 2 front stage speakers but you don't get that "Cool" sound effect...wouldn't use loose out on some of the music/sound?

I have never used rear fill as I feel it ruins the soundstage; however, in my van I run the stock 6x9's off off my deck and faded most of the way forward (6) because I don't get the rear reflections that you would normally get in a car. I have always felt that both rear fill and surround speakers are up to the person who is listening to it -- some like equal sound from all 4 - 9 speakers and if they do... great.
