Derek. I'm going to Windsor Factory Supply to pick up my Loctite 410 on Friday. I'll let you know how much it costs.

After looking at the specs. Loctite 410 has over 2x the tensile strength of other CA's I've looked up.

I am not claiming to answer this as I dont do recone/ cone repair etc.

the loctite 410 looks interesting , strong stuff with a quick cure time so be careful... also it is moisture cure so if the humidity is low (like in winter) than the cure time could be longer than 20 seconds.

I have used goop in the past for surround repairs (filling screwdriver holes ) with good results

Thats all goop is good for imo, I wouldn't use it for assembling other parts.
