Red Top Problems
So here goes i needed a new batt and went with the red top as i heard they were good .
so now for the last month or so i have been having problems starting tested alt was good cleaned all conections even bought new terminals worked better . Now the redtop is less than 6months old but i took it in to wall mart to load test it and it read 400 cca so i exhanged it and the new one reads 1099 cca its rated at 800cca so thats is awesome i was wondering if there are certain charging methods for these batts cuz i read online you should charge at higher than 30 amps and again i found on the optima site no more than 10 amps so i am now curious as can you boost with these and do i need a spcial carger mine is a motomaster 2/15amp with 100 amp boost sorry for the long post anyone who knows anything i would appreciate it
Thanx Toddyboy

Thats quite likely, when I bought my alternator the guy I bought it from said that since Optima outsourced to Asia the quality has gone down the ******* thus leading to a massive spike in faulty batteries and complaints. He said he won't even carry them anymore due to this, so even though my Red Top has been awesome, apparently newer generation ones are crap.
