I'm looking for an RF Modulator.
I don't want one of those battery operator things that transmits a signal through the air. I am looking for something that plugs directly into my car antennae and is hard wired to my car's power supply. Much like the RF modulators that cd changers use.

What I want it for:
I am currently operating both a cd player and a cassette deck in my car. I am using a whack of relays to switch between source units. Some of my relays are acting up and causing channels to cut out. I want to get rid of the relays, and run the cassette deck through an RF modulator to the CD player.

For those of you wondering What? or Why?
I like dash loading my CDs. I am not a fan of CD changers, so I want to keep my CD Deck.

I also have a 5 month old son - we have a bunch of music that is great for him (lullabys, kids songs each) all on cassettes, so we want to keep the option of Cassettes open as well.

So, the cheapest way to do this is to run the Cassette deck through an RF modulator to the CD player's receiver.

But I cannot find this Type of RF modulator. I contacted Future shop and it is a no-go. Does anyone know of web-sites or stores in southern Ontario? Thanks

We have hard wired rf modulators that allow you select which fm frequency you want (87.9 - 88.9) The sound quality that you get isn't that bad, (as good as a fm station could be) the added bonus to these is thet they dont have to take up room behind you primary H/U and can be placed almost anywhere in the car, and if your only using it for childrens cassettes, then it would be perfect
e-mail me at James@gtaudio for a price

Dodge: I don't have a CD burner, and I can't afford one at this time.

Deck - Basic BASIC Kenwood. Pretty sure it doesn't have a changer input. Deck is: KDC 115s.

The first link you posted is what I am looking for. Good price, and nothing flashy.

GTAudio: YGM - also the address you posted is different from the address in your profile - the right letters but not the right cases. Not sure if e-mail is case sensitive or not.

You are looking for an FM modulator, not an RF. An Rf modulator would be used for hooking up a DVD player or Video game system to an older tv with just an f pin input.
