RF P3D2 12" not performing
My current system:
Pioneer deh-x8750bt Fusion CA-DA12250 sub amp Fusion CA-DA41400 Speaker amp Front: Pioneer TS-A1605c Rear: Alpine SPR60 2x 4 gauge wiring Additional earths from battery to chassis Rockford Fosgate P3d2 12" in sealed 28L box My Situation: I recently installed a Rockford Fosgate P3D2 12" Sub into my Ford Falcon (large sedan) it's being powered off a Fusion CD-DA12250 amp running at 1 ohm. After 2 weeks (20 or so hours) of running it at a low-mid volume I thought it was time I could turn it up. After some tuning I got the sub sounding good but it didn't have a lot o volume to it, I was expecting it to be very loud and since my amp is rated at 1100w rms at 1 ohm I expected the amp to easily power this sub but even with the gain at almost full volume it's no where near loud enough to really give a good kick. BTW I set my speaker amps gains to be at their max volume at around 38-40\60 on my headunit. I've set the sub amp cross over to about 80hz and all eq's on the headunit are turned off, I've also tried changing the polarity of the sub and I"ve got the sub facing backwards against the rear seats. The earth to the amps are good and are only about 8" long, i've used good terminals and my battery & alternator are both in good order. I'm quite happy with the speaker side of things they go loud enough and give good mid bass, but I feel like I'm lacking the bottom end. |
sounds like install problems ..what are you using for a sub enclosure ?
