Anyone know how much real power the old Trans-Ana 4 channel 400x4 did:

my guess would be 50x4 @ 4 ohms and 100x4 @ 2 ohms as the 160x4 trans-ana i got (from you) is 40x4 @ 2 ohms

 

For sure, I know these amps were usually quite underrated, just wondering if anyone had a better idea on what the birthsheet would have read.

 

Ross, the 400x4 is just like the older 4080. My 4080 does 225x2 RMS bridged so 112 or so at 2 ohms 4 channel. Figure around 70-80x4 at 4 ohms.

at 14.4 Volts

bridged 4 ohm - 220 x 2

per channel 2 ohm - 130 x 4
per channel 4 ohm 85 x 4

NOT 2 ohm stable in bridge mode - although someone I know ran his 2 ohm bridge mode - said amp ran a lot hotter but didn't shutdown.
