just how would i go about doing such things, as i have all the equipment, but no car anymore(long story short it's broken) and i was just wondering as i have seen it done, but have no idea how to do it myself, i'd just be look to hook-up my components and subs, both have their own amps etc, so i'd just have to get a signal to them through an HU or something, and then somehow get power to them, the only way i can think of is going out and buying a battery and just hooking it up, but then of course the battery will die pretty quick i would assume...
any hints tips etc?

Generator for the power, I spliced some cheap rca's, ran them out the out puts off the house stero, into the rcas input on the amp, I of course had bass pre outs, and mid.tweat preouts, this was a JVC-MJ900 Rolling panle.. I used a 1000w pyramid amp on 2 sony xplode 10s, that was 3 years ago, i just used a battery charger !! AHAH... Maybe several batterys and a charger? Get a heavy duty charger..

computer power supplies. You put a 1 ohm 20 watt power resistor from the 5v wire to the ground, then connect the 12v wires to your amp.

resistors arent exactly easy tomake... the cost of making one would be less than buying one.
