S & S Electronics
I cant seem to be able to post in the feedback section. I think i may need to get my post count up first but anyways.
I took in My mono amp to them for estimate on how much they would charge to fix it. I figured if it was a decent enough price i would get it it fixed instead of buying a new amp right now. First off i started to talk with the owner Chris. He was very knowledgeable, and helpfull. I think i spent around 1/2 hour just chating about amps, wire, pretty much anything car stereos. They had a decent selection of stuff for sale as well, which was unexpected as i thought they were strictly a repair shop. They have power wire, the flat kind, as well as round, stereos, amps, subs, speakers, all either refurbed, new or just plain used. warrenty on all of it though. It is a great place to pick up good stuff cheap. back to the amp though.
I dropped it off to them saturday, around 1:30pm. I got an email monday morning that it was part of the power supply that was gone, and would cost $90 parts and labour to fix.
I said OK for that price go ahead and fix it. Well i got an email at 5:30pm monday evening saying that my amp was ready for pick up. Holy fast service!!
I haven't picked it up yet, but it comes with a 90 day warrenty though, so I am sure its good to go. All i can say is if anyone needs a recone, amp repaired, or wants to pick up something, take a stop by. it will be worth it.
Btw i found out about them on this site.

initially yes, that was the reason for them to blow up. after that no, cuz i wanted to sell the amps shortly after they were repaired so i held on to them for a while to see how/if they work properly before i put them up for sale. they didnt work properly lol, when they blew up second time it was covered by the warranty. they blew up again after that, i just sold them for parts.
this is not to say that they are a bad place. i think it might have been my amps. but that wouldnt make much sense either b/c my amps were Earthquake and those guys were the authorized repair facility for Earthquake Canada and they specialized in that brand name. go figure.....
