Guys,

Future Shop is once again going to be putting on the Installer Challenge at next weekends SCP6 in Montreal.

This year they will be pitting the best of the west versus the beasts from the east in an all out battle for 48 hour install supremacy.

The event starts Friday at 5 PM with installers madly thrashing a matching set of cars donated by Toyota. The boys will go 48 hours straight in a head to head "battle of the bondo".

Returning champions, Team Ottawa will be back with their boots on ready to kick some prairie ***. "Last year was craaazy" says former Dashworks owner Shon Besharah, "but this year is gonna be off the hook!" Plans for a motorized fish tank, disco ball and 13" black and white tube T.V. complete with first generation Atari are in the works. "We really want to put our stamp on this competition" says Serge Leclair.

The combatants will meet for the first time in Montreal on Wednesday night with the festivities getting under way at various clubs downtown. "We got wrecked the night before the comp last year" says Joe McLaughlin of Ottawa, "we plan to learn from our mistakes this time".

West coast team captain Claudio Piccolo seems sure his team will mop up the east and figures between his TIG welder, a few cases of Red Bull and his Port-o-Potty his team is already a shoe in for the victory.

Either way this years events at The Big "O" are sure to be a hit and a great way to end off the season. A big shout out to Future Shop brass for putting this on. "Not every employer can give its employees a chance to show off their skills like this", says Joe, " Its is a great honor to be selected, we are very lucky to work for such an awesome company."

SCP6 runs from Friday the 14 to Sunday the 16, from Ottawa, it's only an hour and a half away. Come on down and check out the show, last years event drew 60, 000 so don't miss it!

The Western Team is led by our own Claudio Piccolo. Maybe he could enlighten us on the memebrs of his team, I know there are guys from Vancouver and two guys coming from Alberta. The boys from Ottawa are from South keys and Gloucester. It should be a lot of fun, just like my post........

Hey Guys, our plans are simple....

We intend to "take" the boys from the East out on Wensday and get them completly SMASHED. Victory is ours.....

We are looking forward to meeting our competion and working with them to make this the best "Smack Down" we can. We will even let them use our "Port-o-pooppyy".

The West's Team is Rob Muxlow from BC, Shawn Felix and Carmine Manna from Calgary.

EEEwwwww!!!.....Sticky!
At least have some kinda flourescent goo (oil maybe) with some black lights for effect. Maybe a plexi "water slide" with back lights that project onto the head liner.
I mean if you're gonna go for tacky, go big or stay home. LOL

48 hours eh?
Good luck guys. Have fun.

Team Eastern Canada is Shon Besharah and myself, Joe McLaughlin, from Ottawa South, Rob from Montreal and just added in is Billy from Halifax.

The two installers from Ottawa East who were supposed to come have had to withdraw due to personal reasons. Rob was on the Montreal team last year so we look forward to partying (i mean working) with him again and Billy is an unknown quantity as we have never met. Apparently Billy keeps it real on the East coast so it should be a cool mix of guys, I can't wait to see what kind of ideas come out of wednesday night refreshments.

P.S. we aren't kidding 'bout the fish, this install will be very retro. It's not everyday you get to do something completely off the wall, and we are gonna be OFF the wall!!

Claudio, you guys actually gonna bring a welder? mebbe we could fab up some hammocks..........haha
