[Some backstory. TL;DR at the bottom]

So I'm looking for a new Sub for the car I got a few weeks ago (will be researching box/amp more after I narrow my choices down). I had two JBL 12" GT-5's in my old car, but new car has a smaller trunk ('00 Altima vs my old '86 deville). Going to be downgrading to just one sub, but upgrading to a better quality sub. Been researching on the JL 12w6v2, JBL W12GTi MkII, and the Alpine SWX-1243D. I've heard good things about all of them, and I've spent a good amount of time reading all those "best subwoofer" arguments, and reviews (consumer and professional).

Now, I'm leaning towards the MKII, given that my current set-up is nearly all JBL (minus the deck), and I've had no issues with it, sounds great. The issue I'm having is lack of consumer reviews on it. I've searched google for sites and found a few that have a couple reviews here and there, searched this forum as well as others and have come across limited threads about them, and not very much is said other than people mentioning that they were considering them. The few reviews I've say it's a great SQ sub, but the info stops there. With the alpine and JL subs I've found a good number of consumer reviews on them, which give me a broader range of opinions on them (which helps sift through the fanboys, idiots and such). No such luck with the jbl subs though.

So basically, I was wondering if people here have come across some good sources of information on the JBL W12GTi MkII, cause I'm running out of ideas where to look, and my head is spinning from an over load of information. I'm in no rush either, most likely not going to be doing anything until the spring. Sorry for the rambling, it's late, and I'm tired.

Been looking into the Ultimo, but seems like it's going to be at least a couple hundred bucks more than the others, or I'd be gunning for that one . Thought I'd throw that out there, since I've seen some guys around here reppin it up, and would mention it before long, lol.
