I just got a 2003 Sentra Spec-V and i'm putting in my deck, amp and sub from my old car. Just wondering if anyone had any tips or good ideas to install it? The factory deck is very wide.. are there adapters to make it fit nice?

Deck: Kenwood X959
Amp: Eclipse EA3422 (currently on the back of the sub)
Sub: Dual Eclipse 10's (86 series)

Also, the factory speakers ('200Watt' Rockford system came factory) seem alright, but any suggestions for an upgrade? Might keep the fronts, but the rears dont sound too good. I think their 6 and a halves all the way around.

Thanks

I own a 2002 SpecV also and you dont need an adapter kit for your deck. Its a standard DIN and it will fit very nicely. The only thing you will require is a trim plate. METRA makes one and there are others out there. As for your speakers if you checked already everything including the deck is made by Clarion. RF had designed the sub box and got dibs on putting their name where they wanted. You are correct about 6.5 all around. And as for changing speakers it all boils down to what you want to do and what your budget is. Do you plan on going into SQ or IDBL. As for everyday listening Alpine Type R's will do you fine. Personally I go ORANGE(JBL Gti608). Good luck.

As per re-calls I can tell you that so far three have been performed. Short block changed at 11000kms due to oil guzzling and pre-cat meltdown, sensorlining removed over CPU possible fire, and some other crap..... As for the fuel pump so far so good but It would be nice to get some extra info.

thanks guys.

I think the 2003 only has 2 recalls so far.. ECC trouble and exhaust hanger, and i've got them both done.

I was trying to go with SQ, but nothing crazy.
My main concern now is the carpeting in the trunk. They made it all bumpy to fit the stock sub. I guess I'll just replace it.
