Shallow Mount Subs..

I would like to change my sub setup. I have a 10" enclosure currently w. 2x12" Subs in them. The unit is rather bulky.

I would like to obtain some shallow mount subs and put then cut down the 10" enclosure box and hang the from the parcel shelf underneath so I can regain some access space in the trunk.

From what I''ve seen of the shallow mount subs they are about 4.5-5" deep. So how deep of a box would I need for a sealed box configuration.

There are a lot of nice shallow mount subs that sound amazing as Newb suggested. The volume required varies on the sub.
