Anyone know the best (=cheapest) way to ship a 35 pound thing (sub) from US to here (Calgary)?

UPS quoted $90 USD from Miami to Calgary. Is that as cheap as it gets?

Thanks, (eh!)

Check fedex, or even DHL.

Do a search on the topic in question. I found the best US/Canada shipping methods posted by members with lots of experience by doing a search. The members here are very helpful, but it's best to do the above first before asking a general question. Cheers.

Any idea how much duties, taxes, brokerage, anything else fees, would cost to get like an $100 (35lb) sub over the border to me?

A crapload of dough dude + if you have a warranty issue then you have to go through it all again. Buy local and support the local authorized dealers.

If you go with UPS you will probably be looking at about 75 dollars to get that over the boarder.

+1 for supporting local dealers, but if you *must* have it shipped from the US, insist on USPS. UPS and FedEx will rape you with brokerage fees.
