should i buy this amp?

i walked into my local dealer and he calls me over. so he begins to tell me that hes got a perfect amp for my system. witch is already pretty good.2-12vega vega's and a mrp-m350.
so he show's me a memphis 16-pr1kd retail at his store is $1699 for $300. like anyone i became sceptical, why would an amp retail sell at 1700 for 300. is it a scam or i should keep what i've got please let me know. [img]graemlins/dunno.gif[/img]

the power reference series isnt as good as the studio's, but they are still a solid amp, and $300 if its new, is a SMOKIN deal.

See if you can test it out, bench it or hook it up to see if works. I'd buy that amp for that much.

Hey, as long as the shop seems reputable, and that you get some sort of guarantee, even if it's only for a week or something, then I would go for it.

I smell fish. If it's too good to be true, then it usually is. Remember, these guys are selling gear to make money to put food on the table.
