Isn't a ground direct to battery essentially the best route? I do agree a short ground wire is best, but, in actuallity a short ground cable to the rear of the car has to travel through the frame and back to the battery. In that instance, you have the worry about the rear ground cable as well as the frame and the condition of the cable from the battery negative to the frame to determine the resistance of the ground. Electricity will travel through the least resistance, just do the math.

That is why I suggest taking that big ground cable from the battery and attaching it to the chassis in the back of the car, along with the amps. Then the cable and the chassis are ground planes.

and thats what I mean by mine is done properly.Between my engine ground point and amp ground point the resistance is .0001

if the deck and the amps have the same ground point THE BATERY then why would i do that
my set up has one ground point the battery

Mabey im old school,but I would not(from a price stand point)run 1/0 from my amp to the battery!
