It happens a lot in trenton. If you aren't a crackhead or hang at Tim Horton's, there really isn't much to do. A while ago I decided to morph a play station controler and my remote for an extended remote. I also added a burp button. That was cool, but it wasn't working all that well, so I decided to do something else.

I took an extra reflector/third brake light I bought off ebay a while ago (I was planning on painting it to match the color of my Intrepid)

and modified it a bit

I'm going to take a dead deck at our store (same model as mine) and use the detachable housing and pins and extend a wire from my head unit to the trunk so it will look like this....

Basically....a big extention of my deck. I will also be adding a burp button on the side, and a couple switches for other functions. Hopefully it will hit the paint shop this week or next.

So what do you all think?

Im not a Base Brat, nore would i want to be one, and im from trenton.

Nice extension of the faceplate.. Im curious as to how the install is done pertaining to the wires.. Im thinking you can't run both faceplates at the same time..

If he just splits the wires.. it should be plausible, no? It should be interesting to see if it does go.. nice concept.. I wish I had the ability and skills to get "bored" like that!!

What the hell are you talking about??? I live in trenton. I'm not in the military, my parents aren't in the military (they don't even live in the same city). Not everyone who lives in trenton is a 'base brat'

However, yes I will take more pictures.

I am lacking an item for the final install. I wanted 2 airplane styled (or nos-button) toggle switches. The ones with the cover that flips up and the switch is underneath. I can't find them anywhere cheaper than $25 each. That sucks. Anybody have any ideas??? (and yes I do know that since I live in trenton, i could go and steal them from a couple planes on the base....but that's a last resort)
