Soldering Female Disconnect

Hi

Is it a good idea to solder the speaker wire to the female disconnect after it has been crimped just for good measure?

I have read several posts that soldering speaker wire is not good because it causes resistance, is this really true?

thanks
J

Soldering adds very little resistance, and can improve the connection. That being said, crimping if done right, will be enough.
