Some More CES 2004 Pictures

Sorry, a little bias, but I didn't take many pictures of other things as the camera didn't make it out of the bag much................. too busy gabbing with people. Most of these pictures were taken prior to the show opening............. If any mods have issues with these pictures, let me know and I'll remove the link.

There are no new ARC lines as speculated about (new high end line we thought may get released) but the existing KAR and XXK lines have been added to........... component sets, amplifiers, processors and subwoofers. The new XXK components and the flatline woofers are two things I'm dying to get in my hands to play with. KAR series also has a sweet sub amp called the KAR 900.1 that doesn't hurt the pocketbook at all. Some nice simple processing available now too for in the dash........... EQ and 3 way x-over that can be bought seperately and then combined with one new face plate for a DIN sized unit. OR you can buy the unit as one. Simple and slick.
On another note, I saw the new Audiobahn head units. Speculation is that they are made by Alpine. Apparently most of the units are expensive BUT that the pop out screen units are very nicely priced and worth looking at......... very worth looking at (hint, hint).
PG released a 10,000 watt amp.......... and Soundstream also has a 5000 watt monster......... everyone seems to be releasing monsters.
Pioneer did not release a black version of the P9
New PPI stuff is cosmetically not so nice....... which is really too bad. They had an opportunity to do something this year and I think they blew it.
That Viper is awesome. The car is owned by an older gentleman who is thinking of running in a Cannonball Run style event in the USA this year from what I understand. I think it specs out at 700+hp at the wheels and over 220 mph. The guys from Rainbow Germany loved the car so much that arrangements are being made to fly the car to Germany for a big show there. All in all, it was great to have a Canadian car in the booth at this big show and for the owner and the builder of the car to have gotten so many compliments about it. We were just happy to have been able to help in making it possible for them to show a car at CES.
TREO.......... we're trying to get that piece up to Audiothunder. Pictures look cool but seeing the thing in person is insane. It's a pig. Not my sort of thing but it's a big pig !! I don't have any specs on it yet. But it's a pig.
I saw the Image Dynamics Passat and talked to Fred and Matt about it in depth. this car is going to be a killer demo vehicle. Look for it this year.
So much there........... can't seem to remember it all though.
