Hey guys, when it comes to head units does voltage really matter when it comes to sound?

If I had 1.8v preouts vs say 2.5v preouts, would I get a considerably louder sound (bass & highs) out of my speakers/subs?

And also, I only have one set of outs on my deck now, if I had 2 sets would it also give more juice and make that stereo pound noticibly more then before?

I'm just trying to get as much juice as possible out of my sound, and its not giving it, I'm getting kind of pissed cause I know she has some serious potential, just not sure whats not doing its job right and the only thing I can think of is the low end head unit.

Here's some pics of my stereo so far, I still have a Monster Cable Farad 1.0 Digi-Capacitor on its way.

Here are some pics of my project car, I just got it and have some great idea's for body and engine, but the stereo is what i want you guys to see:

That looks like it should pound

ASlong as everything is running and not shuttin down on you i dont see why you wouldnt be gettin any bass out of those subs

Id check to make sure the subs are wired to the correct terminals

Check your crossover settings/gain etc.

And like i said before to make sure the subs are in phase with each other.

You can check the phase of your subs with a 9 volt battery. Take the speaker wires of the amp and touch the wires on the battery and the subs should move in the same direction if their wired correctly

She's actually a 1992 4 door 5 Speed, however I'm looking for gauges, white during the day, and blue lit up during the night. I have been looking at a few, however there from U.S. based company's and its in MPH with small *** KM/h on the inside. Do you know any Canadian based company's with a website that sell Gauges (KM/h) and tail lights etc? Please link me if so, cause I'd rather keep my money in Canada. I just know that the U.S. has a large variety of specialized stores for customizing.

As for the comment about the speakers RMS, they're actually 400 RMS not 300 RMS

Here is my sub/specs:

Audiobahn 12" Natural Sound Chrome Basket Dual 4 Ohm 400 Watts RMS Subwoofer

12” Natural Sound Woofer
45 oz. Strontium Magnet
Power Handling: 400 watts R.M.S.
Frequency Response: 24Hz - 1kHz
Efficiency: 92.1 dB
PHAT Foam Surround
Non- Pressed, Non-Transfer Paper Cone
KM3’ Coated for Virtually No Cone Distortion
2” 4-Layer ASV Voice Coil
Dual 4 Ohm
2 Ohm or 8 Ohm Operation
Mounting Dimensions: Depth; 5 1/4” Hole; 10 7/8” Diameter; 12 1/2”
Lug Lock Terminals

I think I may know what's wrong here, I am going to mess around with my AMP and see what my friend left the settings at. I've actually let my friend do all the tweaking for me cause he has been doing this a while longer then me. But I'm going to take her to a parking lot after work and see how I can make her sound. I still need to break them in with 30 hours of playtime anyhow before I can crank them.

So, whats the best way to tunne your amp to your subs? Should I turn up my head-unit up to where I want it at max, say 29 or 30, have the amp turned right down, don't double up on bass boost and just add gain to the amp till its as loud as I want her to go? I wish I knew when to stop and know that is the max for the subs, I don't wanna blow'em.. LOL That's the last thing I need

Cheers.
