Sony M3 amplifier?

Yeah - old skool.

Normally I stray away from SONY car audio equipment but a co-worker of mine needs some money and wants to sell this to me for $100.

I know it's old - long before the XPLOD series came out. But how old?

Anybody ever use 'em? Know of 'em?
If so - feedback and info please What are they rated at?

I want to use it to push an MTX 15" sub.

Thanks in advance

Even though you posted your retarded "What to do the next time a cop pulls you over for no reason" thread I'll give you the specs you need on this.

Sony XES-M3
-Mobile ES series
-Pure Discrete, twin mono circuit construction
-Quartz-controlled MOSFET power supply
-Triple-Darlington output configuration
-150x2@4ohm
-THD at rated 0.03%
-S/N ratio >110dB
-Stable to 2ohm stereo

And yes it's a really nice amp.

$50 is an insane deal for one of those. $100 is an awesome deal too. ****** it up. Don't beat the crap out of it though. They are nice amps and should be preserved.

Old Sony is the ONLY Sony anyone should use IMO.

Old Mobile ES stuff is sweet.

The Sony XES is the best Sony equipment ever....WAY ahead of it's time.
