Soundboard

Ok so i took my stereo out of my old truck and decided not to put it into my new truck since im moving into saskatoon for School and there is no doubt it would be stolen so ive decided to make a stereo for our shop using the components. I am using a 440 battery charger (puts out 40 amps on low and 200 amps on high) and i got the deck to turn on after many tries, figured i could do it again and started putting things together. Of course murphys law came into play and i cant get it to turn on anymore. I have the 12+ ignition wire and the 12+ battery wire hooked to the positive wire of the charger and the ground to the ground but it wont turn on. What am i doing wrong?

The Charger says how many volts its putting out. I went out this morning flipped the on button and everything lit up. I never changed anything but it now works fine. Funny how sleeping on a problem seems to solve it. Thanks anyways guys.

I agree the charger needs a battery hooked up to it to absorb a voltage spike that will put the head unit into protection again at some point in time or will just kill it
