Is there any difference between the speaker wire you buy at home depot off the reel and the stuff you get from stinger for example?

I don’t think you would hear the difference from the more expensive speaker wire. Speaker wire is speaker wire. As long as it can handle the power, it should work just fine. Or am I wrong?

If it's the same gauge, then there is no difference. The differences would be in what you see (how pretty it is) and how flexible it might be. Lamp cord, while being kinda cheezy to see, works just fine as speaker wire in the same gauge.

Truthfully, I have used expensive and non expensive wire in both mine and friends and I see no difference. I do notice a diff if it is old wire but not price wise.
