The SPL woofer you speak of and the **** are boh great entry level woofers but I am sure you could find a more effecient Power Acoustik woofer such as the P3 because the **** is a really heavy woofer.

sorry 150 is the dealer cost on the 10"..so I assume the 12" would be in the neighbourhood of 170-200. This sub is going to be strictly for comp. use so the P3 series doesn't have enough power handling. The one thing that I have never seen before is a duel 1ohm coil. wouldn't that put the ohm load at .5ohms, I'm not sure if my amp (memphis m-class1000) can handle it.

Do me a favor and don't mention a dealer cost on this site or any site for that matter. I don't have anything to do with SPL brand woofers but I am sure another dealer would be pissed.

Which leads me to think that you are either a industry member and are incapable of reading the rules of the site as it pertains to member status or the dealer that gave you the pricing is going to be pissed that you are publicly posting a cost on something. If I were that dealer, that would be the end of you purchasing anything from me ever again.
