SQL has been achieved

After installing my 12" SoloX I have finally gotten the bass that I've always wanted. loud but smooth bass response with seamingly an unlimited amount of power and bottom end. I am using two SX1250.1's with one per voice coil. The sub is in a sealed 1.5 cu.ft. box and it plays very low (surprisingly). I figure I am still upwards of about 140 Db or so on the sensors but that comes secondary to the smoothness of the bass.
I will post pics once I make it look pretty .

The front stage consists of a pair of Kicker SS65's with tweeters mounted concentrically. They are temporarily mounted in modified stock locations in the doors for my '92 240SX. Although imaging is not that great, it is still much better than a decent sounding front end.
Actually, forget everything about what you may have thought about the old Kicker resolution speakers as these do not sound anything like them. They have a true warmth to them comparable to that of a Boston Pro or even a high-end Focal. No harshness or 'poppy' mid-bass here. 30 mm tweeters sound not unlike the old A/D/S monsters from back in the day.
I am working on my custom kick panels at this point so all facets of 'SQ' will be achieved. I will soon post picks of my Kick-panel build-up.

Alot of the debate about "sql" is what your deffinition of "loud" is. For some it might be 130. Others it may be 160. Until you can define the loud variable, you will always have debate. IMO any good SQ system should have the ability to sound loud, even if its not all that loud on the mics. I mean, how many SQ guys throw 200+ watts on their front end? With that kind of power, you should be able to make a very good sounding front end and also make it go very loud. Same as the sub. Tons of guys out there spend all sorts of cash on a sub amp with gobs of power, but only use 1/4 of it.
I dunno...I have always debated the term "sql".

I would define my Corsica as a failed SQL attempt ... but my definition of loud is PROBABLY a little lower than most people. If you can get 120dB out of a front stage and it still sounds right, I would say you have achieved SQL. Another way to put it, if I go to a loud concert and it sounds good, I would consider that SQL. But I have never been to a loud concert that sounds good Dave Matthews got close, but the loud wasn't quite there.
