I and don't know what is wrong but i am having problems reproduction an "s" sound on my new mbquarts. It is really starting to make me mad. It is VERY annoying! How can i get rid of this. EQ'ing? Gain? Crossover points? I can adjust he level of my tweeter at 0db, to -6db in -0.5db increments. Please someone help me!! I am going to Drive my truck into a brick wall if i listen to "Can't Stop" by RHCP.

well you didnt explain your problem entirely, but if your stereo sounds like your topic (ssssssssssssssssssssssssssss) on cymbals and things, it soulds like you have bad sibilance...as far as i know, the only way to combat that is new tweeters.

First, set your tweeters to the -.5db setting.
That will lower there output.
Make sure you have you treble flat and turn loudness off. Also disable any eq'ing on your deck if it has any.
If that doesn't work, then you will need to reposition your tweeters. Do not have them aimed towards glass. And most MB Quart tweets sound bad when the are aimed directly at you.

It is not really bad but i can here it and i have a really picky ear!! The tweet are aimed at the roof about 6-7 inches back from the window. That is were i get the best stage width and height. I have the tweets at -1db and anything less with be a little lacking. Orion you are right about the way it sounds. And i hope new tweets aren't what i need. Is there anything else that can be done ot combat this sibilance problem you speak of.

lol, MBQuart titanium tweets are known for their harsh, bright highs. Let me guess, you have them firing on axis, right?
As previously stated, check what attenuation settings you have available on the x-overs. If you have an EQ, or HU settings, see if they can be reduced from 6-10k.
