I think the 1/2 and 1/4 wave would still be too long inside such a small box. Box ridgidity is the most important thing for subwoofer boxes. I remember 10 years ago the golden ratio "needed" to be used to design a box. nowadays people don't even mention it. You also saw alot of people trying very extreme angles and such. Nowadays you don't see it, because people realize it's not going to affect subwoofers.
