Sub out, amp stays
#1
I want to pull my sub and enclosure out while some work is being done on the car, but I wish to leave the sub amp where she is.
To protect the amp can I just pull the rca's out so it doesn't see a signal? Or should I also disconect the remote so it doesn't turn on at all? I'd like to disconect the least amount of wiring, but of course I don't want to wreck the amp or hu.
There's also a four channel amp running that will stay put so I can still listen to the stereo.
Any advice??
Gene.

Pull the fuse(s) from the power distribution block. If there are no fuses either on the power distribution block or on the amp, ...then that's bad.

I do have a fused block, just didn't want to have to mess with the hot12v if I didn't have to. Don't much like pulling live fuses especially when they're glass.
Looking for the easiest way.
Thanks, Chris.

Just pull the damn fuse! lol
It takes about 60VDC to go through your skin so you have pretty much zero worries there. And I don't know about everyone else but I've never had one of the glass fuses break... So cowboy up and pull the fuse
