does anyone know if I need, or if I can get a subsonic filter for mtx 1501d amp? Would I even notice the difference?

single "12 Sledgehammer, going to make a ported box tunned to a frequency of 43-47.
My issue right now is that when i play hip-hop song everything sounds really good, but on some dance/euro songs there seems to be additional bass notes! for example when you listen to a song on the radio it sounds fine, but in my car you can hear extra bass notes in the song and i dont know if that is due to it being in the song and i just cant hear it in other cars because they dont have subwoofers or if it has something to do with my amp or sub?
what do you think?
any help would be great!!
thanks

I would definately use a SS filter on your box if you are tuning that high. I think that is a little high for daily listening. Without one you could fry your sub when songs have frequencies in which your box is tuned to.

I cant help ya on where to get one though

Harrison Labs make F-Mod SS filters.
They have an E-Bay store, or PM me and I'll hook you up.
They will definately make for cleaner, tighter bass on any ported box, and safer too.

Isn't it about time that the proper term INFRASONIC was used, instead of SUB-sonic ?
Do you know what the difference is?
