Subsonic filter?
I just got the new Bass Mekanik CD and it seems to play alot of subsonic frequences (one track is a sweep from 40hz-0hz) and I am running a ported enclosure tuned to 32 hz. Will I damage my sub if I don't run a subsonic filter? Will I be okay if I just stuff my port to create a large sealed enclosure?
most amps have a subsonic built in?
I wouldnt say most. actually very low percentage do
Also good point JordyO what the heck is he playing sweeps like that for?

I am currently using a mtx 502 so it doesn't have a ssf. I tried that sweep once to see what it sounded like (15 seconds out of the 30 second track sound like dead air). The only other sweep on the CD is a 100-20 and with the box sealed the single 15" played it all the way down .
Where could I get a ssf to use with my current amp (if a non-integrated one even exists).

Both available on ebay.
BTW, THE TERM "SUBSONIC" IS INACCURATE FOR THIS INDUSTRY, UNLESS YOU'RE TRAVELLING AT BELOW THE SPEED OF SOUND.
tHE TERM YOU ARE LOOKING FOR IS "INFRASONIC" HAVING TO DO WITH HEARING, OR IN THIS CASE BEYOND HEARING.
SORRY ABOUT THE CAPS LOCK
