Subsonic Filter.

Hey guys, I would like to get a subsonic filter for my amplifier. I dont really want to get a bass cube or line driver though, is there perhaps a subsonic filter that hooks up to the RCA's that I could just plug in?
the guy at a&b sound thinks im on crack when I ask about a subsonic filter...perhaps you guys can help me.
thanks guys.

I was in the same boat as you and I ended up getting these: Parts Express Link for FMOD: 30 Hz
These are cheap, simple and effective... ahh those three words are music to my ears.

right now its in the mini van...box is about 2 cu ft and tuned to about 34 hz...
I have heard some horror stories about no subsonic filter and frying subs...I just want to take the easy steps I can to try and not blow up the sub... Its just a daily driver though..

A sub sonic wont keep you from 'frying' a sub(burnt coil)... but it can protect against overexcursion that can lead to torn spiders, tinsel leads, a coil thats bent from hitting the back plate or leaving the gap and catching it on its way back in..... ect..
You usually only need one if you are tuned pretty high or if you want more volume at higher frequencies but your driver cant handle the lows...
Tuned at 34hz... eh, might not be a bad idea...
Edit: Jeepers.. $26 US + postage.. you could probably make your own for $5..
