Hit up Dave at fixmyspeaker.com dunno if its a good idea to rebuild if u dont know how tho... May be cheaper to buy something new..

if you're doing it to learn how then it's worth your time and effort, otherwise you can pick up a type r on kijiji for 80-180 depending on condition. I just sold a couple of near new 2010 type r 12s for 160 each (brand new condition used for a few months lightly). I've seen them for as low as 80.00 for 08-09 models in decent condition.

Ya. I know I can get a cheap sub off ebay or kijiji for around $100. Just wanted to learn how to re wrap a voice coil. Its hard to find any tutorials on the internet though. Can you rewrap the old aluminum former even if its burnt?
