Question Suggestions on amp remote gain control

Ok, here's my situation. My amp powering my subs, in order for it to relatively equal out to the front end and for daily driving, I have to set the gain to about half. Still plenty of bass of course at this setting. But with the gain 3/4 of the way up or to maximum, full potential of bass from the subs occur. It's just at this point the subs for most part are much louder than the front end, even with volume low, listening to talk on radio the subs "snap" when people talk.

Question is, do I bother trying to (without major modification to the amp) bring the gain control up into the car so I can adjust on the fly, or set the gain for daily driving and manually at the amp increase it when needed for competition etc...?

Seems like you want a new more powerful amp for your fronts.
I'm surprised you can crank the gain without clipping.

If you really want to do a remote gain I'd suggest looking for a processor that has the remote gain option. There's lots of used choices to be had for cheap.
