Switch head units?

Hey guys...

I have the oppourtunity to pick up a JVC KD-SH707 for pretty cheap in very good condition.

It has a 24bit resolution d/a converter and 7 band eq and an internal amp defeat, but only 2 volt preouts.

My current deck is a Pioneer DEH-P80mp, 3 band parametric eq, 1 bit d/a, no amp defeat with 4 volt preouts.

Would this be a worthy trade? I like the looks of the JVC better as a bonus, the brushed aluminum is sexy.

Let me know your opinions.

Thanks

I would normally say yes on this, but JVC isn't always the best to go with, I have had alot of personal problems with JVC's and Pioneers. The newer JVC's do have some positive things though

That deck is a great piece and I would jump all over it.

I had one of those come in at work. Seems like a solid deck and I'll be happy to buy it once it's available

You want to buy my Pioneer or the JVC?

If you're talking the Pioneer that makes the decision a little easier. Its in mint condition, pm me if you're interested.

I've got a JVC KD-SH707 that I'll be buying once it hits the shelves.

I work at a pawn shop.

Oh lol. I thought you wanted my Pioneer if I bought the JVC.

Way back when I had a KD-SH77. It was the first deck I ever owned and I loved it but I sold it when I bought a sub because it didn't have crossovers built in for the mids. Now that I'm running a 4ch with built in crossovers its no longer an issue and I can cancel the onboard amp.

i believe my friend has the same model of JVC and shes had no problems.
the internal amp cancel is nice as long as your running decent aftermarket amps with good gain adjustment.

id go for the JVC

Yes, in fact I would like to buy your pioneer! I am looking to get a good head unit for cheap. email me at telecomnerd at hotmail dot com.

BTW I posted here for the first few months of this board's existence. It's cool to see that it has become so popular.
