Sounds like you got a battery or alternator issue.

Was the car running while competing? the alternator shouldn`t let the voltage drop that far down if you have a good battery even on a stock alternator.

I would do a voltage test on battery before you start car and after, should be 12.2 to 12.8 with car off and 13.4 to 14 with car running, if its around these numbers take car in and have battery load tested, might have a cell going south.

Just my .02

well when i started me car my cap was in the high 13 low 14 same thing with my amps thats what the volt would say......

You have just 1 battery and stock alternator?

If so I would recommend a Optima Dry cell battery or some type of battery made for high current draw that our amps. tend to love:D

Do the Big 3 upgrade, and put in a better battery and you will see a difference for sure, and I would get your alternator boosted or buy a higher amperage one.
