Hey all, I have an opportunity to p/u a set of Focal components 165 V3E for $375. First are they worth the price slightly used? Second are they any good? I have never had any experience with this brand, any advice would be appreciated.

Focal sells some of their speakers for over $1500. They're usually a good buy.

Well change of plans due to unexpected financial constraints. Grabbed JL Audio VR650 CSi new for $200. They list on Crutchfield for $349. Anyone have any idea what these are like?

you shoulda stuck with the Focal... probly one of the BEST sounding speakers out there.

I agree totally - VR650 CSi isn't all that good at all but thats my opinion!

 

I am third in line to agree gents. JL midrage speakers are not to impressive.

 

Should have also considered hertz =P

 

Yep... i've got Hertz up front.... great speaker.... not quite as good as Focal, but the price is much easier to swallow.
