1 on 1 the w7 is actually a more compitent driver than the mtx... if you are looking solely based on specs the mtx is more better compared to an idmax....

As for your choices Mike... Edesigns is a good choice.... not many people have em... however The triple cdt 10's will yied excellent output and have very tight response.. I like them more than a w3. and they compliment your front end and rear fill since you already have cdt gear...

GCA is also having a sale on them.... 2.67 off the bd1000 would be around 800 watts.. so around 265 a piece.... would do very well with that power as they are fairly efficient.

w6's are also very nice drivers... however you do know the w6's are easily the most expensive setup youve listed.. Besides you only have the option of wiring a pair of em to 1 ohm or 4... and your bd1000 does full power at 2 ohms....

I say CL's all the way

keeps everything uniform throughout the system... and you wont be sacrificing sq either... plus they are priced very well..

all these drivers are very capable of producing excellent sounding bass.. Its a matter of box and install.. your install is up to par.. so all you have to do is have the correct box.

I would also like to see how Mr.Battyrida can make a statement about a comparision when he has not compared them side by side.

It all comes down to one says MTX and one JL and obviously the JL is better syndrome

And the Eclipse guy waits till the end and recommends an Eclipse aluminum series driver. Tried and true. My next favorite would be the MB Quart Ref line of subs. BOth subs will work in small sealed enclosures of as small as .5 cu.ft. The Eclipse starts to shine at 1.0 cu.ft to 1.25 cu.ft sealed box only and handles oodles of power, thus if you want loud with your SQ, it can deliver with ease. It is not a one note wonder sub. The Quart 10" on the other hand handles lees power and will also work in small sealed boxes but it's home is in a 1.25 cu.ft ported enclosure. Slot port 6" x1" x 6" and the sub plays nice and deep and stinkin loud for 1 driver. Definitely not a one note wonder either. Between the two, I will go for the aluminum driver, have recommended them for over 5 years now for a serious sq type sub.

For the ED lovers here; why are you recommending a sub you (and most others) have not heard?

I agree with George. Listen to each and decide from there. If an internet company's product looks really promising and suitable for your needs, wait until it comes out and is tested and see how people like it then.

You are right......I have not heard the V.2s and I should wait till I hear them. Who knows....maybe they will suck. All I know is that I was EXTREMELY impressed by my buddy's old 12o (so much that I was going to buy it off of him) before it was stolen. and a few k-series subs that I have heard in other installs. They are saying that they are better woofers than the old models.....but who knows, just marketing maybe? I have never heard those MTX's so I can't comment on them. I really like the sound of the W6's but the reason I like eD subs is "bang-for-buck." (the old ones anyhow)
