top 10 brands for subs and amps

i tried looking and remember a poll from a ways back, but can't seem to find it anymore.

how does jl audio fall, i seemed to get the impression they where really good. but it seems very hard to find any sites that offer their stuff.

so just looking for other brands top 10 for subs and amps.

i'm looking for 12" subs rated for at least 600w RMS

I've known Lee for over 10 years and find this an interesting and possibly libelous statement.........pure fiction for any one else reading this and I hope you (The Man) have something on paper to back this up.

How is his reply any more "libelous" rofl, then coolvanilla's? They both stated an opinion on an opinion based forum, what else are you expecting to hear from two different people with obviously different experiences.

P.S: If I screw someone I make sure to put it on paper, please dude get a grip. I'm not saying he did or didn't, your comment seems funny that's all.

To get back on topic; JL, SSA, CSS, Mach5Audio, SoundSplinter etc etc etc.....This list may never end. Let the fan boys come out and have their say. You should look into how much you want to spend then do research and more importantly figure out the system you have in mind for your application.

Roll on the floor all you like, there is a difference between voicing an opinion about a product or service and accusing someone in a public forum of defrauding the public......

And for the record, that kind of post is why I basically stopped going on Sound Domain and then TermPro.....I found way too much bashing and flaming going on to actually learn much about how to improve the sound in my vehicle and I wound up here looking for calmer waters, cooler heads and better ideas.....which I am happy to say, I found......

Also for the record, having spent most of the last 35 years as a car audio enthusiast, driving all over southern and central Ontario doing various jobs and dropping into every audio store I saw along the way, I have met my share of shady and deceptive shop owners. Lee is one of maybe 4 guys in all that time who has been a relaxed, easy going guy to deal with and someone I can recommend to my friends and family without reservation.

I am not going to let a comment like that about someone I know and respect to pass undefended....I am sure you would do the same thing for one of yours.

Fair enough, I hear what you're saying. You have to take into account that this is the internet and everyone has an opinion no matter how insensitive and stupid it may be, probably even me on occasion. To think that someone is going to take legal action against someone based on one comment is silly, at least in my opinion I have never seen this happen, all it turns into is flame wars amongst fan boys. If you like the guy great, good for you that you had a great experience. Vanilla kid obviously did not have a good experience, and that's too bad, perhaps he's not so sensitive to what he says in a public forum as you mentioned, but he sure got his point across. Needless to say let's try to help this guy figure out what he needs for his setup to sound good.

as for my post i had great experience there. i bought some JL Audio 6x9's for $115 with tax. i listened to some subs there and the price was pretty reasonable compared to other shops i had visited. and from all the displays from different shops the JL Audio sounded really good.
