Can't say anything about ASD but my limited experience with KHF is that unless you are spending a boat load of money, you will get no respect...they just don't seem to be interested. They do excellent work though.

i understand what u mean..

what i am concerning is.. both of them r saying different things..

what i am trying to do is adding another JL 500/1 to my system and will use the JL 300/4 to push the focal speakers...

in ASD.. they advise me to get a crossover and do the bi-amp...

in Kenneday hifi.. they say i dont need the crossover, i can just use the build in one with the speaker and thats all... they also tell me to take out the EQ31 and the sub controller so make the system more simple...

since my previous system is installed by ASD.. however, i heard that Kennedy HIFI can do decent installation.. so...

any suggestions?

I know this isnt the GTA, but you can try Custom Auto Radio in Whitby...really really good guys in there, you will speak with Gavin or Rick....they should be able to hook you up!

Hey,
Ever Heard of Number One Sound?

Speak to George and John... one owns the shop the other is a freaking Sound Genious that will bafle your mind!! they don't haveany sales pressure and are friendly as hell!! before you commit to anything, call up the shop (its at dufferin and college btw) and make sure john is there before you pass by. explain to him your situation and get ready to be amazed!

that's all i can say...
btw, i've never bought a single piece form these guys, but i have nothing but the utmost respect for them!

When I first started getting into this whole in-car audio thing I visited all of the stores around the GTA. When I mean all I mean every single mom & pop store. I have been to too many to remember. However I do remember the ones that give me service vs. exceptional service. Sure there are many that pull the covers over your eyes and talk a lot of BS but there are a few stores out there that are well versed in audio. As for your selections, I have doen business with both KHF and Auto Sound. Out of the two I would definately go to Auto Sound. Speak with Tom he is the Mgr. there and knows his stuff and is a really laid back type of guy. His other employee's are little pushy so make sure you go and see him. As for KHF, every is right if you don't have the dough you get no service. That is the one thing I despise about that store. They only really attend to the wealthy customers who don't mind dropping a few G's here and there. My friend got his BMW install done there and had the worst service ever. I wouldn't recommend KHF. Check out Auto Sound and speak with Tom. I am sorry if this post goes against forum rules or offends anyone but I am only reflecting on the many good/bad experiences that I had at these specific shops. Hopefully, this will help you make a better/well informed decision.

actually.. i know both Tom/Alvin (ASD) and Alan (KNH)... and i have talked with them for my situation..

be honest.. both stores cost much to install it.. and probably the same...

what i am focusing on is the quality of work...

my current system is installed by ASD, however i wanna try something new.. since when i compare my system to my friend's one (which installed by KNH)... i can know there is a different...

and my system already costs me much (focal utopia, 2 JL amp, and kaption SPL cost few thousands already), so i dont mind to spend another few hundreds to get the work done...

btw.. do u think that the RAC cable and wire will affect the SQ much? worth to spend another $500 for high level cable and wire???

Thanks for advices.. =)
