Two entry level subs vs One mid level sub

Also we ran 4 RFZ 15" subs in about 10ft^3 box with 4 4" ports and one Digital Audio 1200watt amp and would hit high 148db on the old termpro all day long... and they had great sound quality which was hard to believe for such a low end sub...

I was figuring maybe he had not that much space to work with.

I have a 2000 Honda Accord and the box takes up the back portion of my trunk in between my rear shox. I kind of like the size already because I still have some trunk space. If I build another box, it would have to be bigger and I would lose the space in the back. My box right now, fits perfectly into this space. I hope I don't confuse you guys. Maybe pics would help.
Should I go ported? What will happen to the sound? The amp is a 250a2 producing close to 300 watts rms (250 rms on paper). Each sub has a 150 watt rms rating on paper.

The volume range from Rockford Fosgate is 1.0 to 1.75 cubic feet with a recommended sealed volume of 1.25 cubic feet. My box has outer dimensions of 33" wide, 14" tall, and 11.5" average depth (10" on top and 13" on bottom). With these calculations I get an internal volume of 2.099 cubic feet. Ideally should I have an internal volume of 2.5 cubic feet? I am still in the range of 2 to 3.5 cubic feet. I believe this is why I'm not getting the results that I want...
I could go with a max width of 36" and a max height of 15" according to my trunk space. I also like the wedge style of box.

Hey, can you post the spec of the subs you have. and the max we can work with is 36wx15hx10dt,13db correct? Can we go ad any depth at all?
36x15x11.5(average) .75 wood 2.69Ft^3 -.21 vent -.2 subs 2.28ft^3 true volume

Here's a PDF of the sub...

Here's the owners manual...

I've decided to stick with a sealed box. Since mine is a 1 cubic foot per sub right now, should I switch to a 1.25 cubic feet per sub? Does anyone need a box?
Yes the dimensions I put are the max at 36 wide and 15 high. I also want a wedge style box so the depth will be different on top and bottom. With 3/4" MDF, one box that works is 34" wide, 14" high and 12.9" deep (average).
I use this wizard to help me out...

Hey, what you can tinker with is this: Take out one of the RFZ subs and block the hole by drilling a piece of MDF over it. See what kind of output you have with only one sub sharing the entire airspace.
Heck, I've used a sub in a box over 3 times its recommended enclosure volume. I'm sure twice of what you have won't be of much harm.
Trial and error -- and eventually success, my man.

Ok, so why do you want to stick with a sealed box? Also those specs do not match each other and if using WinISD the sealed box should be rather large to get a low QTC for sound qaulity and low end extension. Just does not seem like those specs are right...
