Type-X :D
So i got my self 2 10" Type-X's
got them for an amazing price 256+tax each brand new....
rewired my car and dynamated it with my brother on the 30th.
It's sooo ****ing loud and hits soo hard and its only half powered right now....
Just 1 MRD-1005 powering the 2.
Built my own custom box that sounds great i think.
I'll post some pics once i get a chance to take some.
quick question thought. If i get bigger ALT and Battery with like a 4farred cap will it stop my lights from dimming?!

if you havent done the big 3 then do that first becuase it makes a world of difference. yes a bigger alt and battery will stop the dimming. usually the big 3 is enough to satify most. as for the cap? i say there garbage and not to worry about them.

Look at how much power you are drawing. A fully loaded mrd1005 needs an 80 amp fuse by itself.
Add in all the rest of your system, front amps, deck etc. your system will draw almost 100 amps. If you're going to add a second sub amp, fully loaded, you're up to 180. lights, ingnition, rear defrost need 60 amps.
So, you need a 250 amp alternator. all the batterys and caps you can fit in can't produce power, just store it.
P.S. I would also like to go for a lot more power, but even if i could afford to replace amps and subs, i'd need another $500 for the alt and up-sizing wiring. Unfortunately that puts me way over budget for now.
