Oops, that 31¾" port is too long. Better make it 29½" long and 10½"x 3½". That'll give sufficient clearance.

I wish i read this a little sooner. I just orderd the peice. It's going to bu a fused plexi port that will be in my viewing window. The port will be 6"x4"x14". Thats what winisdPro gave me to produce a good low end with a ver flat response. I know the plastic guy so he only charged me $20 for the materials and the work. I was pretty happy since I was told by some installers that it would be over $100.

Oh well. I'm sure It'll work for ya. A PG sub like that wouldn't move as much air as say a stroker or an Eclipse Ti, but it should be a good performer. After all, the box design looks to be for SQ rather than SPL.

Yeah, it's going to be an SQ set up that I hope will get loud when I want it to. It's a daily driver so I just want it to sound good. It should be loud considering I thought my 10" xmax with 200 watts loud. Now I have a 15 with 500! I should be very happy!

Ty, if his ports are going to be 3 x 8.5", he's going to have 25.5 sq in per. So that's 102 sq inches of port, I think he'll be fine.

Give me a minute here, Gettnbig

How are you getting inches squared for the port when it's 3 dimentional? shouldn't it be cubic inches?
Do I have enough port area now?

You must just be talking about the opening? If so I now have 24^2 inches rather than 14 for the round ports. Is 24^2 going to be ok?
