High quality, reliable products that always did at least the rated power specs and were true performers.
I have not heard the new stuff yet but everything before this years was great stuff.

ok well i am getting a few US amps, and some of them are at the factory waiting to be put into heatsinks. now is it posable to make up some heat sinks? i have access to a bunch of aluminum(sp) and i have all the tools that one would need too make somthing out of anything. so now, if one was too put some strips(1"thick,2"wide, by the length of the amp)on both sides of the amp, and cut grooves too disapate the heat, then put plexi glass top on, would the amp be cooled properly?

if anyone has ever made up a heat sink for an amp, i would love too hear how you did it and anything too look out for. im not saying im deadset on making some HS, but if i can, it will save quite a bit of money.

and if anyone has any heatsinks for U.S. Amps, pleaze PM me, thanks

Dallas

Ok well now i feel like im talking to myself...

anywho, i was on the web, an came across a guy that said the US Amps DE 1000 puts out 2000WRMS@1 ohm, this true, or is the guy full of BS? i though they were only stable to 2 ohms. so can someone clear this up for me?

This year's DE1000 is rated at 900 @ 2 ohm and 1000 @ 1 ohm. I can't see it doing 2kw RMS at any impedance.

TU300 is a tube hybrid, I think 75 x 2 rms.

And yes, you could make heatsinks. Xtant style ones then with plexi or sheet metal top/bottom would work. Endplates would be a bish tho.

Keep your eye out on Ebay for empty heatsinks.

As for the DE-1000, like many solid designs it can be run lower than rated for competition if you wish. I would not recommend it for daily.

The TU-600 is 150 watts x 2 at 4 ohms, 300W x 2 at 2 ohms (hence the 600) class A hydrid tube and transistor design with the tubes running the 'voltage rail' and the transistors providing a 'current rail' to do what each does best.

OBTW the TU-4360 is 75w x 4 (90w x 4 into 2 ohms)

the TU-5900 5 channel basicly a 4360 with a class DE bottom (200w @ 4ohm and 400w @ 2 ohm)
