I believe that audiobahn has a couple HU's that have a USB port on them.

I wonder if this would work:

RCA-USB adapter that may allow you to use the aux input on a deck...wonder if it would work as some devices use the usb conenction for power as well as transfer...

Eclipse has allready done this. Model #cd8455 and cd8445 will except a memory stick and you can purchase one of there memory stick readers if your computer only has usb.

The new Planet Audio HU's can put a USB key right into the deck, along with sd card.

PA and Eclipse = same company...correct?

thus the same sort of feature.

Good idea though.

You could then upload all manner of stuff.
Pics/movies to a in-dash screen, screensavers, etc, videos, ipod-type mp3s and stuff, even data files and such, maybe even video games hehe.

How long til you'll be able to tune your engine, suspension, or any other 'trick' components off of your USB/PCI BUS?etc - enhanced deck??

I'm saying ten years tops.

With the 2G usb sticks avaliable now, you can already watch a movie etc. now we just need a deck that can do everything.

but seriously anyone know if there is a nice deck coming out soon with usb interface capability. like pioneer or alpine?? I am starting to look for a new deck and i want to know if i should wait a bit.
