Hey i have been looking into car decks with usb ports as a possible way to play music from my mp3 player. Is this possible, and will it also charge the player at the same time?

this deck has USB on the front panel and gives 5volts out to charge your MP3 or Ipod.

not every deck has the ability to charge your MP3 or Ipod its a sepecific feature.

 

That deck is very cool, thats the one im using and very pleased. Not to mention ha s tons of goodies

 

So your saying that this is one of the few decks that can charge and play from your mp3 player through the usb port?

And also do the songs on the mp3 player (I have an archos 604 wifi) show up on the display or do you choose and switch them on the player?

please show me a prettier deck at $249 that has 3pairs of 6v pre's and a 24bit DAC with 128x over sampling, USB and charge capabilities, Ipod control.

 

I believe the usb is more designed for flash media like thumb drives not 100% on the MP3 control you can always bring your player to a local Future Shop and try it out.
