Using PC Neon Lights In Car Applications ?

Hey, I was wondering if I'd be able to use 12v DC fans/ lights/ other pc accessories in a car invironment.. like Lets say I just connect it to the 12v on the amp where the power from the battery is coming in.. I was just wondering since the battery pumps out much more power, would it be safe ?.. or do I risk burning out my fan ?!.. I'm trying to figure if i can put a 12v Dc fan from my junk box and use it for my amp rack... or add a blue cold cathode for that asthetic in the trunk haha..

anyways, I couldn't find anything Online, Thought i'd try here !

UPDATE:

Nevermind, I found my question

it will work, but make sure to use a relay if you want your battery to last you through the next night,
