Value of McIntosh Components

I recently purchased an 1997 SUV that is loaded with McIntosh stereo components. I plan on selling the SUV and in all likelihood the buyer will not appreciate what's installed. I am torn between selling the SUV as is, or pulling the McIntosh stereo equipment and selling the items.

This is what I have:

MC420 Power Amplifier
MC443 Power Amplifier
MC427 Power Amplifier
MX4000 Audio Control Center
MDA4000 Digital to Analog Converter
MCD4000 Compact Disk Changer
Audio System X-Ion 12 Plus sub woofer (Non McIntosh)

Where can I find what everything is worth and is this site a good place to sell...if I decide to pull everything.

Thanks in advance for your help!

John

At least a couple grand.

Absolutely pull the gear out.

Due to its name, McIntosh gear does not depreciate like typical gear. People will always pay a premium for it - and for good reason. Most of it is fantastic.

i would be interested in the mx4000 and the mda4000 combo if you want to sell it. better yet im interested in the whole setup if you want to get rid of it.

New retail on all that stuff would be in the ballpark of $5000. Pull it out and sell it. Trust me. McIntosh sells easily.

I've finally pulled everything out of my SUV and I'm now ready to sell. Putting everything on eBay, but would prefer selling everything in one package to a forum member...at a reduced price.
